Our client operates in a complex, highly secure technology environment supporting important Government, Defence and national security outcomes.

With sophisticated systems, technically challenging programs and an established cyber security function, they offer an environment where security professionals can build deep expertise while working alongside experienced technical and security specialists.

As the organisation continues to strengthen its cyber capability, there are currently opportunities for NV1 and NV2 cleared professionals to join the team.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity for an experienced network professional who enjoys staying close to the technology and solving real infrastructure problems.

You’ll have ownership across day-to-day network operations while also contributing to the design and implementation of new solutions, network improvements, security and technology upgrades.

The environment offers variety across networking technologies and the chance to work with experienced IT professionals while continuing to broaden your technical capability.

The Role

Reporting to the IT Operations & Infrastructure Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of network and related infrastructure.

You’ll work across routers, switches and firewalls, monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues and help design and implement improvements to existing and new network environments. The position also works closely with the broader IT team, giving you exposure beyond purely operational network support.

  • Designing and implementing new network solutions
  • Administering routers, switches and firewalls
  • Supporting LAN, WAN and related network environments
  • Monitoring and improving network performance
  • Troubleshooting network and infrastructure issues
  • Implementing and maintaining network security measures
  • Supporting system and technology upgrades

The Ideal Person

You’ll be an experienced network professional who enjoys being hands-on and taking ownership of technical problems through to resolution. Experience across LAN, WAN, SAN and VoIP environments will be valuable, along with practical experience working with Fortinet firewalls.
