Job summary

Compas is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to own the design, implementation and support of secure enterprise network infrastructure within a complex Australian Government environment. You will work with Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet and Palo Alto technologies, alongside AWS and Azure cloud networking, to deliver reliable, high-performing services.

Location is ACT with a 6-month contract and extension options. NV1 clearance is required, and the closing date is 12 November 2026.

Essential Tasks

Key Criteria

• Extensive enterprise networking experience with Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet and Palo Alto technologies, including routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPNs.
• Strong network monitoring, troubleshooting, automation and scripting capabilities across high-availability environments.
• Proven experience implementing network security controls and delivering cloud networking solutions across AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience developing technical RFQ requirements, evaluating network solutions and producing clear technical documentation and recommendations.

Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must hold a current NV1 clearance.
