Job summary

Whizdom, Melbourne, seeks a Senior .NET Developer (Technical Lead) to sustain, enhance and support mission-critical applications in a highly secure environment. You will lead Level 3/4 support, drive major enhancements, and ensure ISM compliance while coordinating end-to-end releases.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong SDLC expertise, Waterfall delivery experience, and a proven ability to manage critical incidents in secure gov/defense contexts.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in .NET Framework, .NET Core, and C# development.
• Extensive experience supporting and developing enterprise applications in Microsoft technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of IIS and Windows Server-based web application hosting.
• Proven experience across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Demonstrated experience working within structured Waterfall delivery frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience supporting business-critical systems in secure or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead Level 3 and Level 4 application support activities, including code-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Design and deliver major application enhancements within a structured Waterfall development methodology.
• Maintain application security accreditation and configuration in line with ISM requirements.
• Coordinate end-to-end software releases, ensuring testing, approval, and deployment controls.
• Manage high-priority incidents and provide timely resolution of production issues.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, including architecture and system design artefacts.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer (Technical Lead) to lead application sustainment, enhancement, and support activities for a suite of mission-critical engineering applications operating within a highly secure environment.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys solving complex technical issues, driving application improvements, and ensuring the ongoing reliability, security, and compliance of enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities
