The Royal Melbourne Hospital seeks an experienced Clinical Trials Manager to lead the operational delivery of the Nephrology Clinical Trials Program in Melbourne. You will provide strategic and operational leadership across investigator-initiated and commercially sponsored trials, ensuring governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years' experience in clinical research or trials environment.
• Knowledge of research governance, ethics requirements and trial regulations.
• GCP certification.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience managing budgets, competing priorities, and project timelines.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and psychologically safe workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of the nephrology clinical trials portfolio.
• Support study start-up, recruitment, protocol implementation and close-out activities.
• Manage trial budgets and financial performance.
• Provide leadership, supervision and development to Clinical Trials Coordinators and research staff.
• Collaborate with Principal Investigators, clinicians, sponsors and CROs.
• Drive continuous improvement and contribute to strategic growth of nephrology research.
• Contribute to participant recruitment, informed consent, clinical assessments and protocol activities where appropriate.
