Job summary

Melbourne Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Trials Manager to lead the operational delivery of the Nephrology Clinical Trials Program. You will oversee the safe and effective execution of trials, ensuring compliance with GCP, ethics and governance across investigator-initiated and sponsored studies.

Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager – Kidney Care Service, you will guide staff, manage budgets, and partner with sponsors and CROs to advance nephrology research and patient access

Qualifications

• Four years' experience in the clinical research or clinical trials environment.
• Knowledge of governance, ethics requirements and regulatory frameworks for clinical trials.
• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day management of the nephrology clinical trials portfolio.
• Support study start-up, recruitment, protocol implementation, and study close-out activities.
• Manage trial budgets and financial performance.
• Provide leadership, supervision, and professional development to Clinical Trials Coordinators and research staff.
• Collaborate with Principal Investigators, clinicians, sponsors, CROs and research partners.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic growth of nephrology research.
• Contribute to participant recruitment, informed consent, and protocol-related activities where appropriate.
