Job summary

Sedgman is seeking an experienced NDT inspector to perform inspections across boilers, piping, tanks and related equipment at client sites in Mackay and Bowen Basin. You will travel to sites, operate independently, and generate clear inspection reports while maintaining safety and reliability of operations.

The role requires AICIP/NDT certification; API 653 is highly regarded. Expect a hands-on workload with a company vehicle provided for site travel.

Qualifications

• AICIP and NDT certified.
• API 653 certification highly regarded.
• Experienced, reliable and able to work independently.
• Sound knowledge of inspection codes, standards and pressure equipment inspection requirements.
• Flexible, customer-focused and willing to travel to site when required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out NDT inspections across a range of equipment and assets.
• Inspect boilers, pressure vessels, piping, tanks and associated equipment.
• Use a range of NDT methods including UT, MT, PT, RT and visual inspection.
• Identify defects and help clients maintain safe and reliable operations.
• Prepare inspection reports and communicate findings with clients.

Based in Paget, this hands-on role offers plenty of variety. You'll work across a range of client sites throughout Mackay and the Bowen Basin, carrying out inspections, testing and reporting to help keep plant and equipment operating safely and reliably.

You’ll enjoy the autonomy to manage your own workload, build strong relationships with clients and help shape a growing area of the business.

No two days are the same. You’ll have the flexibility to travel to client sites as required, with a company vehicle provided.
