Job summary

Birrang Enterprise Development Co Bathurst NSW is seeking a motivated candidate to join our not-for-profit team as a Support Coordinator for NDIS participants. You will assist customers with the Support Coordination part of their NDIS journey, help implement their plan, and monitor outcomes within budget.

Requirements include a current NSW driver’s license, case management experience, strong customer service, basic computer skills, and willingness to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with the Support Coordination part of their NDIS journey.
• Support the participant to implement their NDIS plan.
• Monitor plan outcomes and expenditure to ensure the plan remains in budget.
• Strengthen participants' abilities to self-direct their supports and participate in the community.
• Build effective relationships with customers and their families while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Provide a detailed report to NDIS to support the customer with plan reviews.
• Complete accurate case notes within the scope of your role.
• Work collaboratively with the Birrang team.
• Respond to NDS enquiries in a timely, professional manner.

Birrang Enterprise Development Co Ltd is an innovative not for profit organisation delivering various services and programs to our region since 2003. As a NDIS provider Birrang offers NDIS supports and services to clients in the community wishing to reach their individual goals. Support Coordinators assist NDIS participants with the implementation of supports that are funded in their plan. We are looking for an ethically minded, compassionate individuals to join our dynamic Bathurst based team. Training in all aspects of the role will be provided to the successful applicant

Qualifications & experience

Hold a current NSW driver's license

Experience in case management or background in a similar role

Minimum 6-12 months of case management or similar experience is considered an advantage but not essential

Provide high-quality customer service

General understanding of computer software (MS word etc)

Ability to manage time effectively and be well organised

Some understanding of NDIS rules and support guidelines.

Working knowledge of NDIS rules and support guidelines is required

Be willing to obtain both NDIS Worker Screening Clearance & Working with Children Check

Complete NDIS Worker Orientation modules & COVID Safe Training etc.
