Job summary

One Door Mental Health is seeking a Recovery Coach/Support Coordinator for a 1-year full-time contract serving the South Coast and Southern Highlands, based in Wollongong. You will assist consumers to locate services, support their NDIS plans, and connect with housing, health and education supports.

Join a flexible, multidisciplinary team that delivers recovery-oriented support and works across home, office and community settings. A driver’s license and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in mental health and/or minimum of 2 years direct experience in the mental health field.
• Demonstrate values aligning with Recovery Oriented approaches.
• Ability to build strong relationships with service providers, clinical teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with consumers, families and agencies.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel ~45 minutes to client locations.

Responsibilities

• Coach consumers to build strengths, knowledge, skills, and decision-making capacity.
• Connect consumers to mainstream and community services including health and mental health services outside the NDIS.
• Develop detailed support plans with identified risks and barriers.
• Assist with budgeting funds and navigating NDIS systems and legislation.
• Provide reports on outcomes to NDIA per agreed frequency.
• Empower individuals to achieve goals and improve quality of life.
