Job summary

APM Group in Australia seeks Local Area Coordinators to assist people with disability and their families to pursue goals and exercise choice within the NDIS framework. You will engage with the community, develop collaborative plans, and connect participants to local services to improve outcomes.

The role emphasizes empathy, relationship-building, and practical coaching to navigate NDIS supports, with a focus on meeting KPIs and contributing to a growth-oriented human services organization.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience or lived experience in relevant context.
• Experience in planning with people to achieve collaborative outcomes.
• Knowledge of local community and options for social and economic participation for people with disability.
• Current Working with Children and/or Vulnerable People Check or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Assist people with permanent and significant disability to apply for NDIS supports.
• Collaborate with participants to develop goals.
• Connect people with disabilities to local community supports.
• Support participants to navigate and optimise their engagement with the NDIS.
• Improve community knowledge of the NDIS and create opportunities to connect participants to services.
• Meet identified contractual KPIs.
