Job summary

Right at Home Darling Downs is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to provide in-home support to NDIS participants with complex mental health and other needs. The role is initially casual, with potential for permanent part-time based on performance.

You will assist with personal care and domestic tasks, promote independence, and support community engagement while maintaining person-centred care and strong communication with clients and families.

Qualifications

• Have Individual Support (Disability) Certificate III or higher.
• Have experience working with people with disability who have support needs, particularly with mental health issues.
• Medication assistance and/or administration HLTHPS006.
• Understand incident reporting, quality documentation, complaints handling, and complex behaviour support.
• Own a vehicle with comprehensive insurance for work.
• CPR & First Aid Certificate.
• Open Driver Licence.
• Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Card.
• Assist Client with Medication HLTHPS 006 Certificate is highly recommended.
• Experience with Dementia, Positive Behavior Support and Epilepsy is an advantage.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
• NDIS Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals.
