Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience working within an NDIS framework and an understanding of core functions of the NDIS.
• Experience in a human services role with the ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, communication, organisational and engagement skills.
• Experience working with mental health or disability fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health and disability related supports to participants of the NDIS.
• Facilitating capacity building and person centered supports to develop independent living skills.
• Undertake community access supports to participate in leisure activities and build social connectedness.
• Implement a strengths-based, recovery-oriented and trauma informed care approach.
• Provide in home care supports (personal care, hoisting, showering).
• Provide complex and tailored support to participants with behaviours of concern.
• Communicate with key stakeholders and maintain client records.
• Engage in monthly supervision and professional development.
• Undertake general house cleaning tasks to promote autonomy.
