Job summary

HelpingMinds in Western Australia is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to empower adults with psychosocial disability to achieve independence, confidence, and control over their lives within individualised NDIS plans. The role is community-based, ongoing part-time (minimum 3 days per week) with potential to move to full time.

You’ll assist with daily tasks, transport, life-skills, social inclusion, and job-search support in home and community settings.

Qualifications

• Experience in note taking and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities essential for field support.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic databases preferred.
• NDIS or community services experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with day-to-day home tasks and daily living activities.
• Support safe navigation of public transport and community activities.
• Help develop essential life skills and social connections.
• Support job searching and workplace engagement activities.
• Collaborate within a team to deliver psychosocial supports in community outreach.
