Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner for the North Lakes office in Feb 2027. You will support NDIS participants in the North Brisbane region, developing tailored behaviour support plans and working with families to implement positive strategies.

The role involves conducting assessments, identifying triggers, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality allied health services.

Qualifications

• Experience working within the NDIS framework and supporting individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviours.
• Strong report writing skills and ability to translate assessment findings into actionable plans.
• Commitment to person-centred practice and reducing restrictive interventions.

Responsibilities

• Assist NDIS participants and carers to manage behaviours to improve quality of life and develop new skills.
• Complete assessments to understand triggers, risks, and strategies to improve outcomes.
• Develop Behaviour Support Plans with families for consistent implementation.
• Maintain a caseload with ongoing monitoring and adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated supports.
