Job summary

Best & Less is seeking an experienced Visual Merchandising leader to develop and execute the national VM strategy for our high-volume, multi-site retail network across Australia.

You will drive consistent store presentation, lead major seasonal campaigns and new store rollouts, and partner with senior leaders in Retail, Merchandise and Marketing to optimise customer flow and commercial performance.

Qualifications

• Extensive visual merchandising leadership experience within a high-volume, multi-site retail environment.
• Proven experience leading VM programs across a large store network, multiple categories and frequent campaign cycles.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate performance insights into VM actions.
• Success managing competing priorities, tight deadlines and multiple projects.
• Experience coaching teams across geographically dispersed locations.
• Confident stakeholder management and influence without direct authority.
• Strong project management, organisation and execution capability.
• Resilience, agility and practical problem‑solving in a fast‑moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the national visual merchandising strategy for a high-volume, multi-site retail environment
• Drive consistent VM standards and store presentation across a large and geographically dispersed network
• Lead frequent campaigns, promotional launches, seasonal transitions and floor sets
• Respond quickly and practically to trading needs and changing store conditions
• Partner with Merchandise and Planning to optimise space, placement, stock density and customer flow
• Use sales performance, store insights and commercial data to set priorities
• Lead VM delivery for new stores, refits and concept rollouts
• Coach VM specialists, store leaders and operational teams
• Build strong partnerships with State Managers, Regional Managers and Support Centre stakeholders
• Maintain quality and accountability while managing competing national deadlines
