Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a national Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Manager to lead and influence SHE practices across Australian operations. The role focuses on strengthening risk management, ensuring compliance, and building capability in multiple locations, including manufacturing, warehousing and commercial environments.

You will maintain ISO 14001, drive continuous improvement and partner with leaders to create safe, healthy and environmentally responsible workplaces.

Qualifications

• Must have SHE experience in manufacturing, warehousing or similar operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS/OHS and environmental legislation.
• Demonstrated experience managing or supporting an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Strong capability in risk assessment, incident investigation and corrective action management.
• Desirable: experience coordinating workers' compensation, injury management and return-to-work programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the organisation's SHE framework across Australia.
• Champion a positive safety, health and environmental culture across all locations.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to leaders and employees on SHE matters.
• Drive hazard identification, risk assessment and effective risk-control practices.
• Manage incident investigations, corrective actions and organisational learnings.
• Coordinate workers' compensation, injury management and return-to-work programs.
• Maintain and improve the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and related compliance processes.
• Support audits, assurance activities, training initiatives and SHE capability development.
