Job summary

Metcash Group seeks an experienced Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Manager to partner with the Total Tools Hardware Group and drive SHE culture, governance and performance across a national retail, trade, manufacturing and office network. This role involves strong collaboration with leaders to achieve meaningful safety outcomes and ongoing improvements.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in SHE, a Cert IV in WHS, and at least 3 years in SHE.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Safety, Health & Environment or a related discipline.
• Cert IV in WHS essential.
• Experience applying Australian safety legislation in retail/manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to strengthen safety culture and embed safe behaviours.
• Coach leaders in safety leadership, incident management and risk reviews.
• Support SHE strategy deployment and SHE Management System compliance.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Monitor safety performance and provide guidance to improve outcomes.
