National SHE Leader - Safety, Health & Environment

Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Manager to lead SHE practices across all Australian operations. You will own and continuously improve the national SHE framework, partnering with leaders to manage risk, drive compliance and foster a strong safety culture.

You will work with manufacturing, warehousing and commercial teams to strengthen risk management, support ISO 14001, and build capability for safe and environmentally responsible workplaces.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Management or related discipline.
• Significant SHE experience in manufacturing, warehousing or a similar operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS/OHS and environmental legislation.
• Demonstrated experience managing or supporting an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Strong capability in risk assessment, incident investigation and corrective action management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the organisation's SHE framework.
• Champion a positive safety, health and environmental culture across all locations.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to leaders and employees on SHE matters.
• Drive hazard identification, risk assessment and effective risk-control practices.
• Manage incident investigations, corrective actions and organisational learnings.
• Coordinate workers compensation, injury management and return-to-work programs.
• Maintain and improve the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and environmental compliance processes.
• Support audits, assurance activities, training initiatives and SHE capability development.
