Qualifications

• Significant experience in Linux engineering or software development.
• Strong experience administering Linux operating systems.
• Automation and scripting experience with tools like Bash or Python.

Responsibilities

• Review system design and integration activities.
• Develop and maintain software components.
• Support configuration management and system hardening.

Skills

Linux-based engineering or software development experience

Administering and hardening Linux operating systems

Automation and scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible)

Developing and maintaining Linux SOEs

Strong documentation skills

DevOps or modern delivery practices experience

Providing technical advice aligned to business needs

Exposure to Defence or national security environments

Experience with operational ICT systems

Understanding of systems engineering frameworks

Agile delivery environment experience

Familiarity with Ansible, OpenStack

Exposure to Windows SOE development
