Job summary

Gulli Food Distributors is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our workplace health and safety systems across multiple states. You will support day-to-day compliance and embed a proactive safety culture nationwide.

Reporting to senior management, you will balance system development with operational involvement, collaborating with leaders to strengthen the safety framework and ensure consistent compliance across Australia.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Safety Management Systems development and implementation.
• Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and compliance requirements.
• Ability to conduct audits, inspections, investigations, and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Create and maintain WHS policies, procedures and safe work practices.
• Drive nationally consistent safety standards and compliance processes.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits and compliance reviews.
• Lead incident, injury and near-miss investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Support managers in managing workplace risks and WHS obligations.
• Assist with workers’ compensation, injury management and return-to-work programs.
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks.
• Monitor safety performance, reporting and records.
