Job summary

Australian Department of Defence - Garden Island NSW is seeking an APS6 National Resource Coordinator to lead resource, procurement and financial management across Fleet Support Unit - Australia. You will coordinate budgets, forecasts and governance, guiding national priorities from a dispersed team at HMAS Kuttabul, Potts Point NSW.

The role requires strong leadership, policy knowledge and stakeholder collaboration to support Navy priorities and maintain financial controls within Defence

Qualifications

Experience coordinating budgets, forecasting expenditure and financial governance.
Qualifications in project management, business or finance are highly regarded.
Ability to lead a dispersed team with sound judgement and analysis.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the annual budget build and consolidate regional funding needs.
Monitor expenditure, prepare national forecasts, reports and advice.
Oversee financial records, reconciliation and compliance activities.
Coordinate procurement and provide guidance on financial procedures.
Resolve complex enquiries, identify risks, maintain reporting processes and coach the team.
