Job summary

Australian Catholic University (ACU) is seeking a National Manager, Payroll Services to lead the payroll function nationally from North Sydney or Brisbane. This is a full-time, fixed-term 15-month role with hybrid flexibility, reporting to the Associate Director - Workforce Systems, Reporting & Payroll.

The role requires expert knowledge of fortnightly payroll, superannuation, taxation and compliance, and leadership of a high-performing payroll team.

About the role:

Operating within Payroll Services, the National Manager, Payroll Services operates in a complex industrial and regulatory environment and leads a team of payroll specialists delivering accurate and timely fortnightly payroll, workers compensation, superannuation, taxation and related third-party payment services for ACU nationally. Reporting to the Associate Director - Workforce Systems, Reporting & Payroll the position has responsibility for managing the end to end payroll function, providing expert advice on payroll related matters and ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant ACU policies and industrial, external regulatory, Federation and State Government legislative requirements. The National Manager, Payroll Services will drive high standards of performance within the Payroll Services team building a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence enabling timely resolution of all payroll queries and supporting effective stewardship of university resources.

The National Manager, Payroll Services will have demonstrated experience in Aurion Payroll & HR Solutions (or similar), expertise in managing payroll systems and ability to manage a complex fortnightly payroll.

• Total remuneration valued to $207,150 - $207,150 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $175,521 - $175,521 (pro rata) pa (HEW 10 Base 4), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
• 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
• Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
