Gameloft Brisbane is seeking a versatile Narrative Game Designer and Scriptwriter to be the voice and soul of our upcoming project. This hybrid role requires a narrative architect who can weave story into gameplay systems and deliver authentic dialogue and world-building aligned with the brand.

You will collaborate with Design, Audio, and IP stakeholders, implement content in Unreal Engine, and iterate based on playtests to ensure the narrative remains cohesive, immersive, and true to the IP's

Qualifikationen

• Proven Writing Portfolio demonstrating ability to write across tones and characters for established IPs.
• 4+ years in game design focusing on narrative integration with systems, quests, and world-building.
• Experience working with existing IPs and collaborating with external stakeholders/brand owners.
• Deep understanding of cinematic writing vs game writing and dialogue for gameplay.
• Professional approach to feedback and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Lifelong passion for games, literature, and cinema with interactive storytelling.
• Experience with narrative implementationTools or scripting in Unreal Engine is a bonus.

• Script high-quality dialogue, cinematic scripts, and ambient dialogue.
• Bridge story and gameplay by translating narrative beats into playable moments.
• Architect narrative flow with branching paths and story arcs.
• Implement narrative content within Unreal Engine and development tools.
• Create lore entries and item descriptions to enrich the world.
• Collaborate with Audio leads and Voice Actors to align performance.
• Iterate scripts based on playtests and feedback.
• Align narrative with the broader team and IP boundaries.
