Job summary

Gameloft Brisbane is seeking a versatile Narrative Game Designer and Scriptwriter to be the voice and soul of our upcoming project. You will master the IP voice, write dialogue and world lore, and bridge story with gameplay using Unreal Engine.

Join a collaborative team, collaborate with Audio and external IP stakeholders, and iterate quickly to deliver immersive, brand-aligned narratives across environments and quests.

Qualifications

• Proven writing portfolio across tones and IPs.
• 4+ years in narrative design for games, integrating with systems.
• Experience coordinating with IP owners and external stakeholders.
• Dialogue writing that works in gameplay.
• Ability to translate feedback into refined narrative design.
• Passion for storytelling in games and media.
• Experience with Unreal Engine is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Master the IP voice and ensure dialogue stays in character with stakeholder alignment.
• Script high-quality dialogue, cinematic scripts, and ambient world barks.
• Bridge narrative beats with gameplay design and quests.
• Architect branching dialogue and story arcs responsive to player choices.
• Implement narrative content within development tools and Unreal Engine.
• Develop lore entries, item descriptions, and environmental storytelling.
• Collaborate with Audio and Voice Actors to realize intended performances.
• Iterate scripts based on playtests and feedback from IP stakeholders.
• Ensure the story remains cohesive and aligned with the project vision.
