St Matthew’s Anglican Church Manly is seeking a musically gifted leader to guide worship and the music ministry. The role involves developing the music program, planning Sunday services, and mentoring volunteers.

The successful candidate will recruit, train and lead musical teams, collaborate with staff, and contribute to a gospel-centred worship experience.

Qualifications

• Strong musical leadership and ability to lead corporate worship.
• Experience in recruiting, training, developing and leading musical teams.
• Capacity to develop and implement a compelling vision for gospel-centred music ministry.
• Strong organisational skills for planning and delivering Sunday Worship services.
• Collaborative approach and proven effectiveness working with staff and volunteers.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop the church music ministry to a high standard.
• Plan, organise and deliver Sunday worship services in collaboration with teaching ministers and staff.
• Recruit, train and develop musical teams to support worship across services.
• Develop and implement a gospel-centred music vision for the church.
• Work with AV/tech teams to support contemporary worship.

St Matthew’s Anglican Church Manly is an evangelical church situated in the heart of Manlyon The Corso; with unique gospel ministry opportunities. Our vision is to grow God’s churchthrough the gospel, and we are seeking someone who is musically gifted with strongleadership abilities to assist in the fulfilment of this.

The person we seek will be a gifted musical leader who can lead and develop the musicministry to a high standard and play an important role in the planning and delivery of ourSunday services, working in conjunction with the teaching ministers and broader staff team. As such they need to have strong musical and relational capabilities to work with a giftedteam of staff and volunteers.

We are open to considering full-time or part-time arrangements, including a potential jobshare, for the right candidate(s).

What we’re looking for:

• Strong musical skills and demonstrated capability in leading corporate worship.
• Experience in recruiting, training, developing and leading musical teams.
• Capacity to develop and implement a compelling vision for gospel-centred musicministry.
• Strong organisational skills, with experience in planning, organising, and delegatingministry activities associated with running our Sunday Worship services.
• A collaborative approach and demonstrated effectiveness working as part of a staffteam.
• Some working knowledge of sound and audio-visual technology relevant tocontemporary church music.
• Theological education is desirable, or a willingness to undertake theological studies parttime.
• Capacity and interest in contributing to the broader ministry areas according to thecandidate’s gifts and experience
