Job summary

Universal Music Australia is seeking a Finance Analyst to partner with Labels, Finance, Brands, Sync and Recording Studios to turn numbers into insights that shape budgeting, forecasting and performance reviews.

You will own monthly close processes, deliver internal finance packs with meaningful commentary, and provide divisional analysis to support strategic decision‑making in a fast-paced, creative setting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in management accounting, reporting and commercial analysis.
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance or related discipline.
• Advanced Excel and ERP experience (SAP, BPC, Power BI, HFM).
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills for finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting and forecasting: own loading, consolidation and variance analysis.
• Manage forecast and budget marketing cost loads and reconciliations.
• Assist with forecast and budget A&R provisions.
• Ensure accuracy of inputs through to HFM submission.
• Prepare internal finance packs with meaningful commentary for month-end decisions.
• Deliver divisional and project reporting with insights on performance.
• Partner with Brands to analyse profitability and provide commercial insights.
• Support Sync, Management Commission and Recording Studios with profitability and revenue pipeline analysis.
• Prepare monthly management reporting and upload data into HFM.
• Distribute quarterly artist P&Ls to labels and monitor overheads against budget.
