Job summary

Universal Music Australia (UMA) is seeking a Finance Analyst to partner with Labels, Finance, Brands, Sync and Recording Studios to translate numbers into actionable insights. You will work on budgets, forecasts, artist/project performance and business profitability in a fast-moving creative environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in management accounting and strong Excel, ERP exposure, and excellent stakeholder communication to influence senior leaders and creative teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in management accounting, reporting and commercial analysis.
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems; exposure to SAP, BPC, Power BI, HFM or Business Objects valued.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail; excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own loading and consolidation of forecast and budget income and margins.
• Manage forecast and budget marketing cost loads and reconciliations.
• Assist with forecast and budget A&R provisions.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of BPC inputs through to HFM submission.
• Prepare internal finance packs with meaningful commentary for month-end decisions.
• Deliver divisional and project reporting for performance insights.
• Analyze profitability with Brands, Sync and Recording Studios teams.
• Prepare monthly management reporting and quarterly artist LTD P&Ls.
