Job summary

Canberra Girls Grammar School (CGGS) invites applications for a part- or full-time fixed-term teaching role in Music commencing in 2027. The position may cover parental leave and could extend to a full-time role if combined with teaching other subjects.

There is potential involvement with the Music Academy cocurricular program and ensembles. The successful applicant will inspire students with engaging lessons and be familiar with Australian Curriculum, IB (MYP/DP), and BSSS frameworks.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with appropriate academic qualifications and training.
• Familiarity with the Australian Curriculum, the International Baccalaureate (MYP/DP) and the BSSS programmes is highly regarded.
• Ability to inspire students through engaging and intellectually challenging teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach Music (potentially alongside other subjects).
• Contribute to the Music Academy cocurricular program.
• Contribute to ensembles.
• Participate in pastoral care and involvement in co-curricular activities.
