Job summary

Queensland Health in Brisbane is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist Advanced to work under the Laboratory Manager in a specialised healthcare environment. You will apply well developed multi-specialty scientific judgement in Haematology, Transfusion, Chemical Pathology and Urine/CSF Microscopy, and operate high throughput PCR.

You will provide scientific advice to laboratory staff and Hospital and Health Service clients, contribute to quality and service improvement, and ensure analytical

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to apply well developed multi-specialty scientific judgement in Haematology, Transfusion, Chemical Pathology, Urine/CSF Microscopy and high throughput PCR.
• Ability to provide scientific advice to laboratory staff and Hospital and Health Service clients on Haematology, Transfusion, Chemical Pathology and Urine/CSF Microscopy and high throughput PCR.
• Experience in accordance with professional clinical standards and maintenance of analytical equipment; contribute to quality and accreditation processes.
