Job summary

MacKellar Group is recruiting experienced Multi-Skilled Operators to join the Carmichael Mine production team on an even-time 7/7 roster. Flights from Townsville, Rockhampton and Cairns, camp accommodation, meals and site transport are provided, forming a supportive on-site employment package.

You will operate a modern fleet across multiple heavy mobile pieces of equipment, work with an experienced site team, and build a long-term career with ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Open cut mining experience operating Dozers and Haul Trucks.
• Experience operating at least one: Grader, Water Truck, Small Excavator, CAT 980 Loader.
• Current Standard 11 certification.
• Australian Driver Licence required.
• RI/competencies or recent training within 5 years.
• Commitment to safety and zero-hault on safe work practices.
• Ability to work a rotating 7/7 day/night roster.

• Operate heavy mobile equipment safely to support daily mining targets.
• Work across multiple equipment types within the production crew.
• Maintain high operating standards and safety practices.

• $66.71/hr + super paid on all rostered hours
• Approx. $152,000 per year
• Attendance Allowance - Earn up to an additional $6k per year!
• 7/7 rotating day and night roster

The Opportunity

As a Multi-Skilled Operator, you'll be part of a production crew responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy mobile equipment to support daily mining targets.

You’ll work across multiple pieces of equipment, contributing to safe production, maintaining high operating standards and working closely with your crew and supervisors.

What We’re Looking For

To be considered, you’ll need:

• Open cut mining experience operating Dozers and Haul Trucks
• Proven experience operating at least one of the following:
  • Grader
  • Water Truck
  • Small Excavator
  • CAT 980 Loader
• Current Standard 11
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Relevant RII competencies or a verified training transcript completed within the past 5 years
• A strong commitment to safe work practices
• Ability to work a rotating 7/7 day/night roster
• A team-focused approach and willingness to work as part of a high-performing production crew
