Job summary

MacKellar Group is recruiting Multi-Skilled Operators for Carmichael Mine in Queensland. Join a major mining contractor on an even-time 7/7 roster, operating a modern fleet. We offer on-site flights, camp accommodation, meals, and ongoing training as part of a long-term career.

You will operate heavy mobile equipment, contribute to safe production, and work with a skilled site team to meet daily targets.

Qualifications

• Open cut mining experience operating Dozers and Haul Trucks.
• Proven experience operating at least one: Grader, Water Truck, Small Excavator, CAT 980 Loader.
• Current Standard 11.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Relevant RII competencies or recent training.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy mobile equipment to support daily mining targets.
• Work across multiple equipment to maintain high operating standards.
• Collaborate with crew and supervisors to ensure safe production.

This is an opportunity to operate a modern fleet, work alongside an experienced site team and build a long-term career on an even-time 7/7 roster.

The Opportunity

As a Multi-Skilled Operator, you'll be part of a production crew responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy mobile equipment to support daily mining targets.

You’ll work across multiple pieces of equipment, contributing to safe production, maintaining high operating standards and working closely with your crew and supervisors.

What We’re Looking For

To be considered, you’ll need:

• Open cut mining experience operating Dozers and Haul Trucks
• Proven experience operating at least one of the following:
  • Grader
  • Water Truck
  • Small Excavator
  • CAT 980 Loader
• Current Standard 11
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Relevant RII competencies or a verified training transcript completed within the past 5 years
• A strong commitment to safe work practices
• Ability to work a rotating 7/7 day/night roster
• A team-focused approach and willingness to work as part of a high-performing production crew
