Job summary

MacKellar Group is recruiting a Haul Truck Operator for regional Queensland on a FIFO roster. You will operate large haul trucks, perform pre-start checks and work with a team to achieve production targets.

The role offers a 7/7 roster with optional day shift overtime, FIFO from Townsville, Rockhampton and Cairns, and a modern onsite village with meals, gym and recreation facilities. Career progression and upskilling opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Competent and signed off on operating 777+ rigid haul trucks in a production mining environment.
• Relevant RII competencies (or verified transcript within the last 5 years).
• Current Standard 11 and a valid driver’s licence.
• A strong commitment to safety.
• A team-focused attitude with a positive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operate large haul trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Conduct pre-starts, inspections, and routine checks.
• Adhere to all site safety and operational procedures.
• Work collaboratively with your team to meet production targets.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
