Job description

Federal Government - Canberra - Day Rate Contracts - Multiple Senior Cloud Architects / Cloud Engineers Required - Minimum Baseline Required - 12 Months Initially with 2 X 12 Month Extensions Pending

Key duties and responsibilities

• Develop enterprise level cloud platform architectures for MS Azure and M365;
• Develop high level solution architectures for cloud-based systems;
• Develop detailed architecture guidance for cloud engineers;
• Provide impact analysis of user/stakeholder requirements;
• Ensure that the enterprise and system solutions maintain adherence to whole-of-government standards;
• Provide technical guidance and input into the design and build of cloud-based systems;
• Liaise with a cross-functional teams including business owners, scrum masters, business analysts, developers, enterprise architects & testers to produce solutions in accordance with stakeholder requirements and project objectives;
• Liaise with the department's Service Experience team to ensure architectural decisions incorporate user experience considerations
• Liaise with ICT Engagement and Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment to target architectures and technology.
• Provide expertise and assistance in platform automation - testing, continuous integration and deployment
• Demonstrated experience in cloud-based solution implementation with technologies including: Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus and Azure API Management - Azure DevOps for code development, management, repositories, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD deployments - Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor and Application Insights o Integrating cloud-based systems with third-party systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM - Azure networking, security and identity management capabilities including Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints and Role Based Access Control
• Experience working with Agile Multi-disciplinary teams to deliver secure, user friendly and reliable solutions that meet stakeholder, citizen, and business expectations.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and managing cloud systems and technologies. The Cloud Architect/Engineer will liaise with cross-functional teams to develop and manage enterprise and application-level architectures for MS-Azure.
