Job summary

Maranoa Regional Council in Mitchell, Queensland, is hiring a Multi-Skilled Plant Operator / Labourer (Patrol Grader) for a permanent, full-time on-site role. You will operate graders and other plant to build and maintain the road network, perform final trim operations, and support labouring tasks as part of a collaborative team.

The role offers a 9-day fortnight roster with a day off, plus generous leave entitlements and locality allowances, with salary around AUD 69k–72k per year and longer

Responsibilities

• Operate graders and other plant to construct and maintain Council’s road network.
• Carry out final trim operations, including laser-guided grading where required.
• Maintain roads, table drains, guides and roadside furniture to required standards.
• Safely operate, service and maintain Council plant, equipment and machinery.
• Complete plant maintenance, operational records and documentation in line with Council requirements.
• Provide skilled plant operation for road repairs, renewals and upgrades.
• Undertake general labouring, worksite preparation and clean-up duties.
• Assist with traffic control signage and worksite setup.
• Work collaboratively with Council teams to meet service level requirements.
