Job summary

Quantum Civil in Victoria is seeking a Multi-Skilled Civil Operator to join our team. You will operate and maintain a range of heavy plant including excavators, posi tracks, rollers and water carts, and contribute to safe, efficient site operations.

The ideal candidate will bring proven plant experience, tickets for key equipment, and a proactive approach to safety, quality, and teamwork. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Multi-Skilled Plant Operator in civil construction.
• Tickets/VOC for Posi track, Excavator, Roller and Water Cart.
• GPS and Final Trim experience preferred.
• Current HR driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant equipment including excavators, posi tracks, rollers and water carts.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Monitor equipment performance and report issues or abnormalities.
• Assist in setup and shutdown of plant operations.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve goals and maintain records of maintenance.
• Participate in training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi-Skilled Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment and be capable of performing a wide range of tasks related to plant operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a variety of plant equipment, including but not limited to excavators, posi tracks, rollers and water carts.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs as needed to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify and report any issues or abnormalities.
• Assist in the setup and shutdown of plant operations as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to achieve goals and objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, dockets and other relevant information.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Plant Operator or similar role in a civil construction company.
• Tickets / VOC for Posi track, Excavator, Roller and Water Cart.
• GPS Experience (Ideal)
• Final Trim Experience (Ideal)
• Current HR Driver's license.
• Understanding of basic construction activities and methods.
• Good knowledge of hand tools and equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in plant operations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Physical stamina to work long hours.
