Job summary

Select Labour is seeking experienced Multi Skilled Civil Operators for ongoing roles in Townsville and surrounding regions. You will operate civil plant safely across diverse projects, contributing to productivity and quality while aligning with site procedures.

Role requires RIIs, current licences, White Card, and a strong safety mindset. Opportunities include working on major civil, infrastructure and defence projects with weekly pay and supportive teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience operating civil machinery across varied sites.
• Current driver’s licence is essential.
• Construction Industry White Card and commitment to safety required.

Responsibilities

• Operate civil plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform earthworks, trenching, grading, and site prep per specs.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and maintenance checks.
• Follow project procedures and site instructions.
• Collaborate with supervisors and site crews to meet targets.
• Maintain high standards of workplace health and safety.
• Carry out general labouring duties where required.

Due to continued growth and upcoming project requirements, we are seeking experienced Multi skilled Civil Operators to join our team supporting major civil, infrastructure, defence, and construction projects throughout Townsville and surrounding regions.

About the Role

Working across a variety of civil and infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of civil plant and equipment while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.

Operators with experience on a range of machinery are encouraged to apply.

Machinery Experience

We are seeking operators with RIIs and experience on one or more of the following:

• Excavators
• Rollers
• Backhoes
• Loaders
• Graders
• Water Carts
• Dump Trucks

Other Civil Plant Key Responsibilities

• Safe operation of civil plant and equipment
• Earthworks, trenching, grading, and site preparation activities
• Conducting pre-start inspections and maintenance checks
• Following project specifications and site procedures
• Working collaboratively with supervisors and site crews
• Maintaining a strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• General labouring duties where required Essential Requirements

• Relevant plant operating tickets and competencies
• Current Driver's Licence
