Job summary

Thiess is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Operator (Excavator) for Curragh North, QLD. You will operate excavators and ancillary equipment to support safe, productive mining operations and work within a strong safety-first culture.

Minimum 12 months excavator experience, current Standard 11 and a valid driver’s license are required. Join a 7/7 DN roster with long shifts and strong development opportunities at Curragh North.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience operating excavators and/or ancillary equipment in open cut coal mining.
• Verified machinery skills list signed by SSE or delegate.
• Current Standard 11 is required.
• Current Driver's Licence held.

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled or Excavator Operator with a commitment to safety and a passion for mining? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Multi-Skilled Operators (Excavator) to join our high-performing team at Curragh North.

As a key member of the Curragh North team, you'll support safe and efficient production by operating excavators and other ancillary equipment while contributing to high-performing mining operations.

Roster: 7:7 DN | Location: Curragh North, QLD | Employment Type: Full-Time

As the Multiskilled/Excavator Operator, you will:

• Operate excavators and ancillary equipment safely and efficiently to achieve production targets.
• Maintain a strong commitment to Thiess' safety culture, procedures, and operational standards.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to deliver safe, reliable, and productive mining operations.

About you

• Minimum 12 months' experience operating excavators and/or ancillary equipment such as dozers, graders or loaders in an open cut coal mining environment.
• Verified machinery skills list (training transcripts/LMS documents) signed by an SSE or delegate.
• Current Standard 11.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• A proactive attitude with the desire to work reliably as part of a team.
