MSP Project Engineer: Cloud, Security & M365 Delivery

Job summary

Telco ICT Group in Chadstone, VIC, is seeking a Project Engineer for a full-time on‑site role. You will own end‑to‑end delivery across multi‑site client engagements, from audit findings to build, cutover and handover to support.

Projects include Microsoft 365/Azure migrations, security uplift, firewall and network deployments, and server/SharePoint refreshes. You will work with the Solution Architect and GM to keep scope, timelines and budgets on track, coordinating with clients and vendors

Qualifications

• 4+ years in an MSP or IT consulting environment with at least 2 years delivering projects.
• Experience running Microsoft 365 / Azure migrations and tenant security uplift end to end.
• Hands-on installation experience with Fortinet, Meraki and Sophos; industry certifications preferred.
• Professional experience with Windows Server, Hyper-V/VMware and Linux, including patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Strong networking fundamentals: routing, switching, firewalls and VPN technologies.
• Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects, scope and client expectations — a client-facing role.
• Clear written documentation and communication skills across clients, vendors and internal teams.
• Certifications MS-102, AZ-104, SC-300, MD-102 are highly regarded.
• Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites across Melbourne.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery of assigned client projects: planning, scheduling, build, testing, cutover and handover
• Turn audit and assessment findings into scoped, sequenced remediation projects
• Configure and deploy Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, Windows Server, Hyper‑V/VMware and SharePoint environments
• Install and configure firewalls, switching, Wi‑Fi and VPN (Fortinet, Meraki, Sophos)
• Produce project documentation: designs, runbooks, change plans, as‑builts and client handover packs
• Run client project meetings, provide status reporting, and manage risks, changes and vendor coordination
• Act as a Tier 3 escalation point for projects you have delivered during warranty
