Job summary

Moderna in Melbourne is seeking a hands-on operator to join our mRNA vaccine production unit in Clayton. You will operate advanced manufacturing equipment in a 24/7, cGMP environment, applying scientific thinking and meticulous attention to detail to ensure safe, compliant production and rapid learning of new mRNA technologies.

This role emphasizes collaboration across cross-functional teams, continuous improvement, and the opportunity to engage with digital tools including Generative AI.

Qualifications

• Typically, 3–5+ years of experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• A College degree with a specialization in Pharmaceutical production technology or equivalent.
• Aseptic manufacturing experience, with Visual Inspection and PFS knowledge preferred.
• Experience supporting audit and inspection preparation, together with an understanding of Health Authority and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits and adhere to safety procedures.
• Execute manufacturing operations in accordance with cGMP and SOPs.
• Follow gowning procedures and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Operate production equipment for mRNA vaccine manufacturing with meticulous process execution and documentation.
• Respond rapidly to equipment, process and digital issues using structured troubleshooting.
