Job summary

Mobile Fleet Service is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to service, diagnose and repair customer fleet vehicles out in the field around Sydney. You’ll work mainly in the field with a modern mobile service vehicle and support from the Silverwater workshop.

The role offers a 38-hour week, Monday to Friday, no weekends, paid overtime, and opportunities for ongoing training and career development within a well-established company.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified motor mechanic with diagnostic and repair experience.
• Proven ability to service and repair fleet vehicles.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, diagnose and repair customer fleet vehicles in the Sydney metropolitan area.

Mobile Fleet Service is looking for an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our mobile service team.

This is a great opportunity for a capable mechanic who enjoys variety, independence and dealing directly with customers, while still having the support and resources of a large, established workshop behind them.

Established in 1992, Mobile Fleet Service specialises in maintaining and repairing commercial and government vehicle fleets throughout Sydney. Our mobile mechanics work from modern, fully equipped service vehicles and are supported by our workshop and service team at Silverwater.

The role

You'll spend most of your time out in the field, servicing, diagnosing and repairing customer fleet vehicles across the Sydney metropolitan area.

You'll work independently, manage your jobs and deal directly with customers — but you won't be left without support. Our Silverwater workshop, Service Manager, parts and administration teams and other technicians are there when you need them.

The work is varied. One day won't necessarily look like the next, and you won't spend every day standing in the same workshop bay.

Who we're looking for

We're not simply looking for someone with a trade certificate.

We're looking for a good, experienced mechanic who can be trusted to work independently and represent our business professionally at a customer's premises.

You'll need:

• Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician trade qualification
• Solid mechanical servicing and repair experience
• Good diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
• Confidence working independently
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A professional, reliable and practical attitude
• Good organisation and time management
• Current driver's licence
• Full unrestricted Australian working rights

Previous mobile, fleet or field-service experience would be an advantage, but isn't essential if you're an experienced mechanic with the right attitude and people skills.
