The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of relevant experience, a Certificate IV in Motor Mechanism or Automotive Technology and a valid full car licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in the automotive repair industry.
• Certificate IV in Motor Mechanism or AQF equivalent is required.
• Certificate IV in Automotive Technology is required.
• A valid, full car licence is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform tyre changing, wheel alignment and balancing.
• Discuss problems with vehicle owners and diagnose faults using equipment and test drives.
• Repair and replace worn parts, remove and reassemble engine/transmission components.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspect systems and adjust engine management/fuel injection components.
• Complete vehicle job sheets and ensure invoices are attached.
• Maintain safety and proper storage of tools and hazardous substances.
