VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join Black Stone Auto Group in Dandenong South, VIC. You will diagnose and repair a range of vehicles, perform complex diagnostics, and provide quotes for repairs while ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, certificate in automotive trade, and a focus on meticulous workmanship. Remuneration is $75,000–$85,000 plus super, with a permanent full-time contract.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or higher in automotive technology.
• Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Able to handle hazardous materials safely and tolerate electrical hazards.
• Able to perform heavy physical labour.
• Great attention to detail; no skin allergies to grease, oil or petrol.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair advanced and complex mechanical faults on a range of vehicles.
• Conduct extensive and complex diagnostics using computer technology and specialized tools.
• Provide quality control and inspection of vehicles, assess damage and provide quotes for repair work.
• Perform engine component overhauls using workshop machines and specialized tools.
• Fit and balance new tyres and align wheels.
• Repair and replace worn parts, reassemble mechanical components after repair.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services and lubricate assembled articles.
• Test and adjust vehicle performance after repairs.
• Inspect vehicle conditions and issue roadworthiness certificates when required.
• Maintain high customer service levels and OH&S standards; keep the workshop tidy and tools in good order.

Job Description

VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our clients' business Black Stone Auto Group in Dandenong South. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team, with strong communication skills. Summary: Reporting to the manager the motor mechanic will work as part of a team to make sure all servicing, and repairs are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair advanced and complex mechanical faults on a range of vehicles.
• Conduct extensive and complex diagnostics (both mechanical and electrical) using computer technology and specialized tools.
• Provide quality control and inspection of vehicles, assessing damage and providing quotes for repair work.
• Perform general and detailed engine component overhauls using various workshop machines and specialized tools.
• Fit and balance new tyres and align wheels.
• Repair and replace worn and defective parts, and reassemble mechanical components after being repaired.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes and lubrications, and clean and lubricate assembled articles.
• Test and adjust the vehicle after being repaired for proper performance.
• Inspect vehicle conditions and issue roadworthiness certificates when required.
• Maintain a high level of customer service, ensure the workshop is kept tidy and meets OH&S standards, and ensure equipment and tools are kept in good working order.

Performance Appraisal

Three months after the starting date, then half yearly or when required.
