Auto Breeze runs an automotive workshop in North Geelong and is seeking a qualified Motor Mechanic to support workshop capacity and maintenance of customer and business vehicles. This is a permanent full-time role with 38 ordinary hours per week.

You will diagnose faults, service vehicles, inspect and repair engine, braking and suspension systems, and may perform tyre and alignment work as part of a comprehensive workshop service. Supervision and safety are emphasized in daily duties.

Qualifications

• A relevant automotive trade qualification is required.
• Demonstrated practical experience in light-vehicle servicing, fault diagnosis and repair.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and complete work safely.
• Clear communication, reliable record keeping and a professional approach to customer service.
• A driver's licence valid for the vehicles being road-tested in Victoria.

Responsabilités

• Inspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment and testing methods.
• Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on light vehicles.
• Inspect, repair or replace engine, cooling, braking, steering and suspension components.
• Carry out quality checks and authorised road tests to confirm completed work and vehicle performance.
• Undertake tyre, wheel and alignment work as part of the workshop service.
• Maintain accurate job cards, service records and parts requirements, and explain findings to management and customers.
• Assist with mechanical inspections and maintenance of the rental fleet.
• Follow safe workshop procedures and manufacturer specifications, keeping equipment and areas orderly.

We are looking for a qualified Motor Mechanic to support reliable workshop capacity and the maintenance of customer and business vehicles. This is a permanent full-time position with 38 ordinary hours per week.

Pay and benefits

Your base salary will depend on your relevant qualifications, experience and capability. Superannuation is paid in addition to the salary. Applicable overtime, penalties and allowances will be addressed in accordance with the relevant industrial instrument.
