Task & responsibilities

• Perform mechanical servicing and repairs on light vehicles
• Diagnose faults in engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension systems
• Carry out logbook servicing, safety checks, and pre‑purchase inspections
• Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify issues
• Test drive vehicles to confirm issues and validate repairs
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and uphold WHS standards
• Communicate repair needs and timelines clearly with the workshop team

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience as a motor mechanic
• Sound understanding of automotive systems and components
• Ability to diagnose and repair a range of mechanical faults
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A current driver's licence is preferred
• A successful skill assessment in the nominated position
