Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing, logbook servicing and general vehicle maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out repairs to engines, brakes, suspension, steering, cooling and exhaust systems.
• Inspect vehicles and identify faults or potential safety issues.
• Carry out brake, clutch, battery, tyre and suspension repairs and replacements.
• Perform vehicle inspections and pre-purchase inspections.
• Use scan tools and other diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Conduct road tests to confirm repairs have been completed correctly.
• Complete repair and service documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and manufacturer specifications.
• Communicate professionally with customers and provide clear information regarding repairs and maintenance.
• Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

About the Role

Skills and Experience

• Relevant qualification in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience working as an Automotive Mechanic.
• Strong mechanical diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Experience servicing and repairing a variety of makes and models.
• Ability to use automotive diagnostic scan tools and workshop equipment.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• A current Australian driver’s licence.
