Job summary

RAC WA in Western Australia is seeking a driven Lead Specialist – Motor Claims to support the Team Leader in guiding a Motor Claims team. You will coach, develop and lead with empathy to deliver professional, efficient service when members need it most.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and experience with motor claims. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, drive improvements, and balance member outcomes with cost-effective repairs.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in an operational environment.
• Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex processes clearly.
• Empathy, resilience and discretion when supporting members.
• Thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced claims environment.
• Experience in insurance claims handling, ideally motor claims.
• Certificate IV in General Insurance or equivalent (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop the Motor Claims team to ensure fair outcomes.
• Handle complex motor claims and support members throughout the lifecycle.
• Deliver high-quality, empathetic service while balancing operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for timely and cost-effective repairs.
