Auto & General is seeking an experienced assessor in Sydney to accurately assess vehicle damage, determine cost-effective repairs, and deliver clear customer care. You’ll join sites across Sydney with on-the-job training and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in motor body repair is required.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience as a Panel Beater, Spray Painter or Motor Mechanic.
• Experience writing quotes and estimating repairs.
• Customer-first mindset and strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license is essential.

Responsibilities

• Masterfully assess vehicle damage to ensure safe, cost-effective repairs.
• Conduct post-repair inspections for top quality.
• Provide expert advice via phone and face-to-face for customers.
• Write precise reports, negotiate repair costs, and coordinate with repair partners.

What you’ll be doing:

What you bring to the Team:

• Trade qualification in motor body repair industry (Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent)
• Minimum of 5 years hands‑on experience as a Panel Beater, Spray Painter or Motor Mechanic and up-to-date industry knowledge
• Sound experience in writing quotes and estimating
• A customer‑first mindset with strong communication skills
• Tech‑savvy with confidence using computers
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Valid driver’s license
