COMFY ACCOMMODATION PTY LTD – Tin Can Bay is seeking an experienced Motel Manager to oversee daily operations, guest service excellence, reservations, housekeeping, maintenance, and financial administration. You’ll lead cross‑department teams, ensure safety and compliance, and actively drive customer satisfaction in a coastal hospitality setting.

The role requires a hands-on leader with Australian experience, strong PMS/OTAs skills, and the ability to live and work in Tin Can Bay.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience as Motel/Hotel Manager in Australia.
• Strong leadership and guest-relations skills.

COMFY ACCOMMODATION PTY LTD – Tin Can Bay QLD

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and hands-on Motel Manager to oversee and control the daily operations of Sleepy Lagoon Motel. In this role, you will be the heart of our operations, ensuring that every guest receives exceptional service from check-in to check-out. You will be responsible for coordinating across all aspects of the motel, including reservations, housekeeping, property maintenance, and financial administration, while maintaining our high standard of guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all front-office operations, including reservations, reception, and guest check-ins/check-outs for our 24 cabins, holiday house, and villas.
• Supervise and coordinate housekeeping and room service activities, ensuring all self-contained accommodations meet strict cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Manage property maintenance, overseeing the upkeep of grounds, gardens, BBQs, laundromat facilities, and ensuring security arrangements are in place.
• Oversee accounting and purchasing activities, including managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining budget controls.
• Ensure strict compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, as well as relevant accommodation and hospitality laws.
• Assess, review, and actively manage customer satisfaction, promptly addressing guest feedback and maintaining our strong 4.5+ star rating.
• Act as a local ambassador by providing guests with comprehensive local tourism information, and helping arrange activities such as the world-renowned dolphin feeding experiences and Fraser Island tours.

About you

• Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience working as a Motel Manager or Hotel Manager strictly within Australia.
• Bilingual proficiency is highly preferred to effectively communicate with our diverse international tourist demographic.
• Proven ability to lead, direct, and coordinate staff across multiple departments (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance).
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of resolving guest issues and driving customer satisfaction.
• Strong computer literacy, including experience with property management systems (PMS), online travel agencies (OTAs), and booking channels.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting, budgeting, and cost control within a hospitality setting.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, and the ability to respond to after-hours property emergencies when required.
• A highly competitive salary of $80,000 AUD per annum, exclusive of superannuation.
