Job summary

Al Mustafa Australia in Sydney seeks a Fundraising & Community Engagement Officer to grow fundraising income, expand mosque relationships and volunteer networks. You will engage with mosques, Islamic organisations, donors and community leaders to create sustainable fundraising opportunities while building a robust volunteer database for Jummah, Ramadan, and Qurban campaigns.

This role requires strong relationship management, event support, and collaboration with marketing to promote campaigns

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising, community engagement, sales, or relationship management.
• Strong understanding of Muslim communities and Islamic charitable giving.
• Excellent communication, networking and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to recruit, motivate and coordinate volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Implement community fundraising activities and contribute to targets.
• Support campaigns including Ramadan, Zakat, Sadaqah, Qurban and events.
• Identify new fundraising opportunities with individuals, businesses and groups.
• Develop relationships with donors and convert one-off supporters to recurring donors.
• Coordinate mosque collections, volunteers and campaign materials.
• Maintain active volunteer network and CRM records.
