Job summary

Torrens University Australia is seeking a Finance professional to support month-end journals and reconciliations across banking, revenue and receivables. The role also covers preparation of disclosure packages and analytics, partnering with BI and other finance teams to improve processes.

Based at our Surry Hills campus, the 12-month fixed-term position offers exposure to a values-driven finance team and opportunities for process automation and smarter ways of working.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in finance month-end close processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and integrity.
• Advanced Excel skills are advantageous.
• CA or CPA designation is advantageous.
• Experience with PeopleSoft is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly close deliverables and analytics.
• Support internal and external audit requirements as needed.
• Respond to ad hoc financial requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain strong internal controls and reporting accuracy.
