Torrens University Australia, Sydney CBD NSW, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term assignment. You will support month-end journals, reconciliations, and disclosures while partnering with BI and other finance teams to drive process improvements.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will handle banking, revenue, receivables, and other financial statement line items, ensuring accuracy and timely close deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Accounting or similar qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of timely and accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assistance with preparation of supplementary monthly and quarterly close deliverables.
  • Assistance with periodic internal and external audit requirements.
  • Assistance with ad hoc financial requests as required.
  • Adherence to internal control (SOX) requirements, including maintenance of critical reports and spreadsheets.

What’s the job?

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will assist with the preparation of month-end journals and reconciliations across various areas, including banking, revenue, receivables and other financial statement line items as required.

You will also assist with other month-end and quarterly tasks, including the preparation of disclosure packages and analytics.
